Counce Creative Consulting

Sydney Counce is an artist manager and business consultant who equips artists with the knowledge needed to define and achieve their individual artistic careers. Known for her longtime management with alternative rock band Dust City Opera, Sydney later founded Counce Creative Consulting to expand her support to musicians all around the globe. She has played a pivotal role in helping indie artists achieve their creative dreams: selling out shows, amassing thousands of devoted fans, raising staggering sums to fuel their art, and unlocking their professional milestones. 

After getting her start at Anderson School of Management, Sydney spent over 17 years in business administration, from finance to marketing, developing her resources. In 2013, she was certified in Ethical Leadership from the NASBA Center for the Public Trust, further emphasizing her dedication to integrity in the industry. In 2023, along with her colleagues at Dust City Opera, she co-founded New Mexico Music Workers, a cooperative advocating for equitable and sustainable working conditions for freelance artists in her home state. 

Her impressive track record has garnered recognition from PBS and NPR, solidifying her status as a trusted leader in entertainment. She has been invited to speak on stage at various conferences and brings her experience as a woman in a male-dominated field to the center stage. Sydney is not just in the business of management; she is in the business of transforming lives, igniting passion, and nurturing the artistic spirit. 

In her free time, Sydney enjoys traveling with her family, planning elaborate Halloween costumes, and watching true crime documentaries. She also hosts a popular backyard concert series in Albuquerque, and is a parent-advocate for children with disabilities. Her current favorite cheese is bellavitano (she loves cheese).
